Sandra Chen Weinstein Photography

My passion is for peoples’ inner world. My ultimate goal is to illuminate the timeless human condition through my relationship to the subject thus revealing the isolation and complex emotions that many of us tend to overlook. I endeavor to reveal people’s constant struggles and hopes that deeply connect us to one another even when we are from disparate backgrounds. These candid portraits did not pose for me but rather are in their natural state, revealing a self expression that speaks in a language without words, one that is powerful to our mind and soul.

Traveling and working internationally through the years has provided me with a great appreciation and understanding of diversity. I feel that it is crucial to remind ourselves where we come from and break through our boundaries and fears. The challenge for photography is for one to be free enough to be original.
